Fr. Bob presenting Dad and Mom with a Gift
The parishioners at St. Joseph's church gave Dad and Mom a gift "to travel".... and a nice placque.
Thanks to Joyce who took care of everything for the reception where we had a lovely chicken dinner with all the trimmings....
So many people attended - Aunt Virginia, Joanne and Bob, Linda and Dan, Carol, Mark, Jackie, Sue and Jacob as well as "Many Miskells".....
Theresa presented a wonderful multimedia show with many highlights of Dad's life as well as highlights of his many years as a Deacon. The background music for the show was Bette Midler's "The Wind Beneath My Wings" as Dad said that song reminds him of Mom as she is his "wind beneath my wings".
Sue, Theresa and Jackie are trying to be "Charlie's Angels"......are they really Angels????
Dad's 25th Anniversary of being Ordained a Deacon
We attended a lovely celebration mass for Dad's 25th Anniversary at St. Joseph's church in Charlton....Deacon Larry (Dad) gave a wonderful homily and explained how Roland introduced him to the idea of becoming a deacon....the rest is history. The parishioners served a wonderful chicken dinner with all the trimmings....Joyce took care of all the details....Thanks Fr. Bob, Deacon Steve, Joyce and to everyone at St. Joseph's for all your efforts....Dad and Mom really appreciated the mass and reception. Theresa presented a wonderful multimedia show with the Bette Midler tune "You are the Wind Beneath my Wings" as the background music. Dad said that song reminds him of Mom as she is "his wind beneath my wings". There were many photographs of Dad's accomplishments and events -- as well as many family events.
