Robbie and Blake

Robbie was showing off a very large and gorgeous colored feather he found in the aftermath of all the rain we had last week.....The sun is shining once again.... Posted by Picasa

Southwell Field and Merrimack River

Here are a few photographs taken the day after the rain stopped....I took a walk to the River Front on Southwell Field with Bonnie...the ducks were very happy swimming around the softball diamond, the river where you should be able to launch a boat was flooded as well as the park bench and the children's gym.....conditions should improve as long as we're finished making Noah's Ark!!! Posted by Picasa

Blue Heron at Freeman Lake

Even this Blue Heron was "psyched" to see the sun out this day!!! I am lucky with my job as I get to drive to the end of Willis Drive everyday and sometimes there are very interesting characters on the lake....this Blue Heron was not the least bit bothered as I took these photographs. He eventually flew away - what a fascinating site to see them just "take flight"!!!

Family on Freeman Lake "Walk the Line" too!!!

Katelyn said "hey, they look just like the children in class -- lined up to go out for recess".....everyone (including this family) was enjoying the much needed sun that day!!!! Posted by Picasa

Donna's Class "in line" for recess

Talk about "Walk the Line" -- Donna has the children holding on to a nicely lined up rope - so they can all march in and out of school together...they are adorable....Faye, Luanne and Leslie are there to help too!!! This was the first day of Sun in a long long long time!!!! Posted by Picasa

Sammy in Bus #44

I left the store and was headed to Harrington School and noticed something white in the back seat scurrying around -- guess who was in the Bus - I had to call "Cat Whisperer" Sandra to meet me and coax Sammy out of the Bus....Sorry Sammy - you can't go to school yet!!! Posted by Picasa

Matt Scott at the Merrimack River - near Roarke Bridge

This photo is a birthday present for Scott F. Olsen - guess who we ran into (or should I say swam into?) at the banks of the Merrimack last week covering the Flood stories....Matt Scott - he looks great and we talked about you/Tiffan and your adorable twins.....it was fun seeing him....his shoes were ruined just like ours that day.....

Merrimack River along the banks by the Roarke Bridge

Here I am on a lovely park bench over the Roarke Bridge on the banks of the Merrimack River - right near the Camelot Court Condo area -- Linda Sougnez - you used to live there and it was all "under water" last week....My friend Bonnie took this photo - we ended up covering the flood for days - it was so fascinating watching how much the river changed in those few days of torrential/horrible rain....
Here are a couple of folks walking along the river with so much "under water"....the river was "roaring"... even the sounds were so loud from the fast flow.....just after this photo was taken, the national guard had to tell them to get off the embankment as the waters were so treacherous..... Posted by Picasa

Stacey and Clinton

Just letting Stacey and Clinton know that I haven't forgotten about this photograph that I promised them....I'll make a copy for you two this week....Love you both!!!! Posted by Picasa

Falkner Mills Water Falls in Billerica

I couldn't resist putting this one up -- it looks so powerful from this angle....it is so noisy too!!! Mother Nature is so "terrifying" but so "beautiful".....what a crazy week we're having...The folks in Ireland should be happy to be out of this -- the weather over there is much nicer I heard....it's going to get sunny tomorrow -- Yippee!!! Posted by Picasa

Lowell Floods - May 15

Here we are at the School Street Bridge with the water falls almost "gone" as the water is so high. We also walked over the Aiken Street Bridge. You can see the nuclear reactor from U.Lowell (Lowell Tech when Dan and Jeffrey went there back in 1970)....Check out Channel 4's new reporter "on the spot". You can also see the lovely condos and the walkway along the Aiken Street Bridge - major flooding. I'm sure everyone was evacuated out of there. Check out the SUV parked in the lot. Posted by Picasa

May 15 - Billerica and Lowell Flooding

We have had the major rain and flooding this week - can't believe how much we have had. Here are Bonnie, Jeannie and Sandra at the Falkner Mills water falls - near the North Billerica train station - it is howling!!! Dad, Tommy, Jeffrey and many others will remember this area from working at that Mill with Woody Chapman years ago.... The sun should come out today!!!

Flooding in Chelmsford - May 15, 2006

We're all praying for "SUN" -- Jeannie and Bonnie took a ride to N. Chelmsford - Tyngsboro Road and Dunshire Rd....what a flood they are dealing with. Our friend Sue's lovely home is flooded --- She is trying to make the best of it -- Her daughter Alisa lives in Lovely/Sunny/Gorgeous San Diego and she said "Mom, please move out here"!!! Sounds like a great idea this week. You can see that Tyngsboro Road/Route 3-A is completely closed off and many businesses down there are flooded as well. We are tough New Englanders ha??? Summer is around the bend for sure!!!! Praying for some relief...hopefully this is the last day/night of heavy rain!!! Posted by Picasa

Brian is almost finished builiding his fire pit...just in time for summer. Lance is starting to walk and he's getting so grown up....they grow up too fast....Happy Mother's Day everyone out there. Posted by Picasa

Ski Trip to Loon Mountain with the Olsens to the Bermans

We got in a nice Spring Ski Day on March 31 -- we were guests at Judy and Paul Berman's condo at the Village at Loon Mountain....had a great but very challenging day of Spring Skiing -- I could only do a 1/2 day - it's hard work to ski even though it was lovely and sunny out....had a delicious surf and turf dinner at the Bermans with the Olsens.....Great Fun and we managed a hike the next day across the street -- Even Bridget and Molly came along too!!! I know that I'm not putting these events in in chronological order -- but that's me -- a little "mish mashed"!!!
